Anyone who knows me knows I love to collect things, usually it does not matter what it is, I have collected things from coins, cans, posters to even beads, you name it chances are high I have collected it. My daughter has also taken that trend over and she has a thing about collecting colour postcards, and coins and since the Euro was introduced she has gone deeper into her collecting.
With her postcards she has also discovered that she is able to print her own, which for a 10 year old it really mind blowing to know she can design and print her own postcards to also add to her collection. From a mothers point of view, yes it is good but I can just see this back firing on me and having to live in a house full of postcard albums, dodging and weaving around them just to get to another room in the house.
It is her passion now and as long as it does not get out of hand as some of my collections have in the past, I am all about supporting her in the things she loves, even if it means ordering coloured postcards so she can add to her ever growing collection.
R and R
It seems like it has been months since I have blogged but I guess it is just a matter of trying to get back into the swing of things.
Over the last month I have been away a lot trying to do the R and R thing and it has worked somewhat maybe another month away will work a charm!
Over the last month I have had some rather good festivals and parties to attend, I think it is needed every now and then to let your hair down. I can feel I am getting older or just not use to it. I attended carnaval which is a 4 day festival that is a damn good excuse to drink a lot for 4 days long, I was down and out after day 2 and just stuck to coca cola (without the mix)
Have also had some birthday parties and they have been really good to catch up with friends. This week is another 4 day party, I think carnaval was a warm up for this. Starting Thursday there is a 4 day tent festival where a lot of famous dutch artist will be singing at, I am sure after the first few drinks I will have no damned clue who was there, so wish me luck, I am sure I will have pictures after the weekend
Loving london
As most of you know I go to London often, I love the city and just love England! My best friend lives in England and I am always heading over for all the sales, nothing beats the sales in England. On my last visit to England in December it was a blast it makes me wonder why I ever left there.
I have often thought about moving back to London and even checked out some dating in london sites which are very appealing. When I was there in August with my friends daughter we hit the financial area, we both like men in suits and there is not a lot I can really say other then WOW. At the end of the work day you just sit in a pub in the financial district and keep watching the door!
Ok enough of that talk ;), London has something Australia does not, that is history, a good mix of the past and the present, there is so much more to see then the “regular” tourist things, you could spend a months walking the streets and you will never see the same thing twice, I love it, I miss London, I think it is time to check out the dating sites there and see if it is worth the move back!
Is it over yet?
I have already had enough of 2010, the shit keeps on coming.
What started the ball rolling was Dad passing away early November since then there has been 6 deaths in the family and close friends my next funeral is Tuesday. The whole family is really shook up and most of them are getting tests done from doctors just for the sake of sanity.
Other then that the year is flying by, I have kept away from my blogs because of the family issues and about now I am at the end of my rope and ready for a total melt down.
Next week I am running away to a friends, I will have internet so maybe I TRY to get back into blogging, maybe it will give me a break and a fresh start, who knows, time will tell.
so till then it will be little updates between the sponsored blogs.
See you on the flip side
The new addiction
While being unable to work because of my back injury there has been a lot of sitting around and unable to do anything, I am even unable to do grocery shopping because of all the reaching and lifting, it is really starting to get very very boring!
While being bored I have made a few necklaces and recently I have been playing some games on facebook, some are really good some are just tedious which is also good for me haha. A few days ago I started playing Zoo World, my goodness it is a pain in the butt, think that is why I like it so much! I am zipping through the levels really fast, if that is a good or a bad thing I am unsure, I guess time will tell.
I need to get back to the animals it is just about feeding time, see I told you it can get addictive!
