Boss or no boss

A few weeks ago I was having a trip down memory lane while talking to a friend of mine and we were talking about all the injuries we have had over the years, she could not stop laughing when I was telling her the story about how I broke my little toe on the fridge (no I am not going to tell you how it happened.) Then it was her turn and I already started laughing when she told me that her boss hit her with he car, oh my goodness now that is a way to get fired I thought.
After my friend was finishing her story it turned out that she was just crossing the road and her boss went through a red light and hit her, my friend did not even take any legal action even though she was out of work for close to 3 weeks, if it was me I would have been on the phone to anAustin Injury Attorney in a heart beat. Boss or no boss I would have taken action and apparently my friend was not paid on her days free because she was hit by a car! by her boss! come on you think the boss would have done more then offer you the ride to the hospital after hitting you!

If I am missing some snail mail in the next few days I understand why.

My brother is a truck driver and I sent him this picture and he just laughed, he has no idea how this could happen, I do, you just drive under a bridge that is smaller then your trailer, duhhhh. With the top of the trailer missing I see it was easy for him to back up and not block the bridge. A few weeks ago there was a truck that was stuck under a bridge near my house and it is the busiest bridge in the city and they had to close it off for hours while they got the truck out. So keep an eye on the post, see if I get any but please make the bills go missing.

Life is a gamble

Every single thing I do, every minute of the day is a gamble! Every night I go to sleep it could me my last, every time I cross the road, it is a gamble, food I eat it is a gamble it is good and will not poison me, there is only one guarentee in life and that is that you will die. There is also gambling with money, which mind you I do often, there is one rule my father told me about gambling he always said “never gamble more then you can afford to lose” wise words if you ask me.
I really like it to get all dressed up and head to the casino the night, mind you it does not happen a lot. When I go to a casino I usually play the slot machines, I like the one arm bandits, there is no thinking involved and I can handle that easy. I have tried roulette also and I done rather well on it, I walked away with more money then I started with, I wonder if it was beginners luck, I hope not.
Recently I have been trying some online gambling and I must say it is as exciting as being at a casino, i have tried some slot machines and also this roulette I find there are some benefits at playing from the comfort of your living room. You are at home and can have a break when you like also getting a drink is a lot easier and no one will take your place, for sure it is a lot quieter no screaming and yelling from people losing, mind you that can be very entertaining when it happens and you can come home with a good story to tell.
There are many pros and con to playing at home I guess it is up to the person who is playing and if they like it or not all I say is, give it a go, you never know till you try.

I can not believe my ears! seriously! oh my goodness! Ok let me explain. Lastnight I was at someones birthday party, it was boring as hell and I do not even like the persons party I was at, but it is one of them people you must show your face at, like a family member, you just have to go, pfff, so anyway I was sitting at a table with some friends of mine, great friends they have helped me through a lot of things in the past and they are really amazing giving people BUT then it happened! I can not believe my ears, the racist things that come out of their mouth!

I was talking about a new shop and how iti s cheap and for christmas it is going ot be amazing! and they went on about how the shop just stunk and it is more then likely because of all the “none dutch” people in there, I will not use the exact words that they used, I was totally gob smacked, my jaw fell to the ground. I was not raised that way, I was raised that it is what in on the inside that counts. I do not know why they think like that, maybe it is because they come from a small farmers village and there are no coloured people here but my goodness next time I think I just slap them!

Vacation time

As we all know it is vacation time, many of us have already gone grey or at the end on the insanity rope. This year it is very strange and different for us as it is the first vacation without grandpa. Every summer vacation my daughter would spend a few days with grandma and grandpa at the camping, she loved staying in the caravan. she still does but things have changed.
This year while grandma was camping she decided there and then she was going to sell her caravan and car, we were all somewhat in shock and wondered what her plan was, her plans soon became clear when she drove us to a showroom for motor homes.
My daughter loved looking at them all, grandma too, it was really nice to see she is not standing still and getting out there to start her own traditions. I can not wait to get on the road with a motor home, I had never thought about it because and they are pretty amazing things, you can have everything from simple and basic to a motor home that has more luxury then I have in my house!
Mum travels a lot now but I see there will be no stopping her as soon as she does get her motor home. good on you mum the sky is thelimit just do not forget to send us a postcard.

Tractors

For the last few weeks there has been gatherings for old tractors. I am living in an area where there are a lot of farmers and it seems to be that all the farmers have a love of old tractors. This weekend I went to one of the tractor runs in the town next to me, the town is so small if you blink you miss it, yet it had 460 tractors in the tractor run. I could not believe it!
My friends and I camped out at the local pub where the tractors end up, it was lovely weather also so much beer was drank and a lot of laughs, all in all it was a nice weekend and the more of thse old tractors I see it makes me want one!

These days you can be contacted at anytime in many different ways, for some this is a bad thing for others it is a good thing. So many different Phone Systems, private or business it has to be reliable and easy to manage. I remember the old phone systems use to be someone running in and out of offices and rooms looking for the person who is needed on the phone, how things have changed.

Thursday film night

Every Tuesday and Thursday we have film night with our friends, we have a drink and munchies and watch a movie. Not all the movies are good, tonights movies was not so bad.

Unthinkable, was tonights movie and it was really good, the only problem with the movie was then end, the ending really sucked, it left so many doors open and questions flying through the air. My friends were also not happy with the ending and said a few choice words.

Is it worth seeing? yes. Was there good and well known actors in it? yes one! Did the ending suck? sure did but I still think you should see it.

There you are, I’ve been looking everywhere for you. It’s a big place the internet and so hard not to loose people, infact it seems almost like even the best search engines are letting me down whenever I try and find anything using a search engine I can almost never find what I want when I start putting my website up I will seriously need to look into search engine optimisation Essex and make sure my site stands out a bit. I don’t want it to appear too obscure or not at all, I don’t care if it’s not in the top 10 just so long as it stands out well enough and is clear to whoever is scanning through the results that this might be a sire that they want to visit.
Is that asking too much? I don’t think so but I reckon with a bit of time and effort invested and the help of people with the skills and ability I should be able to get it up and running in no time with plenty of traffic going to it. It’s sad that you have to resort to this but I think it speaks volumes about how far the internet has reached into peoples every day lives. Somepeople just want a site up there and they’re not too bothered if anyone comes to see it as long as they and their friends know i’s there.

Dutch cocktail

Here is one of the other cocktails that we made on cocktail night, it is called a Dutch cocktail, am not to sure why. The cocktail was really sweet so we stirred it up a little and it tasted much better. After a few of the cocktails w decided it was not worth taking our time and being really careful trying to layer the drink when all we done was stir it up and drink it down.

As I said a few posts ago, we really need another cocktail night, it was fun to be with the girls once again.

Do not mind all the mess in the background of the photo, but I promise we drank it all.
