This is my song mum, for me!
Yes my daughter has taken claim to a song from Francis Rodino, “Any Day Now” (click on Paradiso and see what we seen.)
when seeing him live in August he happened to say Alia’s name and now is not only love struck, yes my little girl has her first crush, she has taken claim to the song. Mornings now consist of “Mum I want corn flakes please and my song **rolls her eyes** Francis what have you done???
So here it is one of the two bands my daughter is crazy about, her addictions, lets start with Francis Rodino and his band!
Consisting of:
Allan Buls - Bass
Matt George - Drums
Tim Davis - syths, guitar, backing vocals
Nik Hollis - Electric Guitar
Luke Juby - Piano and keyboards
and not forgetting Francis himself doing vocals, and strumming away on a guitar also.
How We discovered them:
We (Alia and myself) discovered Francis and the band when we surfed onto the website of Paradiso, a concert hall in Amsterdam the best venue I have ever been to. I wanted to take a friend to a concert and while cruising venues found a performance put together by “Sellaband” not knowing what it (Sellaband) was we looked more into it, A great pioneering website which has bought some of the most amazing artists to our lives, it is not long before Sellaband will be the word on everyone’s lips, So needless to say we are hooked on Sellaband and also Francis.
Alia totally falling for the music and Francis, she loves making cards and writing in english to him, seeing her mother tongue is Dutch I think it is great she is trying to now write English (She can speak it though to shy to)
Seeing them live in Amsterdam last year was amazing, their presence on stage is mind blowing and how they bring in the audience gives everyone a buzz. On August 15th Francis played in Paradiso again and as always it was breath taking. He sure has come far from the cello, (long story you need to read his bio.)
Alia is sitting on the edge of her chair waiting for their album “Circles & Squares” to be released, thumbs up to Sellaband for the boost, A pioneering new music website, Sellaband connects artists to fans, in pursuit of a $50,000 recording budget and subsequent recording and publishing deals. **Side note to Francis, if your reading this I know the album will be perfect, and you know what else will be perfect? The Album for Alia for Christmas, hint hint get to it lol, Ok I know perfection takes time**
Thank God it is Friday!
Well it is Friday and.. well errrr it is weekend? Well it was weekend for me days ago so what is so damned good about it being Friday?
I can not sleep and I have a long busy day ahead of me, I am in so much pain I am actually thinking of going to the doctors and believe me that is a big deal if I think of going to the doctors.
All in all it is just another crappy day in my pretty much plain life! Though the excitement this weekend and huge highlight to the week will be ripping the wallpaper off the walls of 3 bedrooms so it is ready for plastering in a week, really I am jumping out of my skin I am so excited, if you also can not hold back your excitement feel free to call me and I will get you a wall just for yourself to do!

Well as you see I am back, since I have been back I have not done anything to interesting, worked, went to a concert, now that was amazing and I shall be posting pictures and a review on it later in the week, I went to a castle today and well that is about all, ohh and a hair cut, well thats about it!

My daughter has a passion for horses and a few minutes down the road there is a retirement house for horses, yup can you believe it? They have saved many horses from the glue factory. My daughter devotes a lot of her time and just about all her pocket money to them. She knows most of the 97 horses by name but this is her favourite, it is also the oldest horse, well actually pony at the retirement home. This is Nicky born in January 1964 that is VERY old for a horse, very!
