Earlier today there was live footage of a car that broke through the security at the place where the Dutch royal family was driving. About half an hour ago there was a press conference on national TV giving all the facts that are known right now. So far there is reason to believe that the action was planned. According to the first contact that the police had with the suspect there is information that the whole thing was planned.

On top of that, the Dutch TV also just let us hear the statement that was made towards the mayor that the driver had told the police it was not an accident. This was thanks to the Frysian TV that was apparent when someone broke the news to him. There are also unofficial statements from the public and military police that the car was stopped further up a few minutes before the tragedy. The car turned around and eye witnesses say he took a different route to the crossing where it all happened.

So far the amount of victims has gone up to 17 in total. Four people died on the spot or in the hospital, five people were severely injured and eight have light injuries. The suspect is not known by the police but has started an extensive investigation on multiple places in The Netherlands. The Queen also released a video statement expressing her sympathies and condolences to the victims, their family and the other people involved.

Today in Holland is Queens day (Koninginnedag) Everything is closed except bar’s and cafe’s, there are parties in the streets people laughing and dancing at every turn. The Royal family visit a different city every year, as you can imagine the security is tight but today 14 people hit by a car before missing the royal family who were travelling in a bus to the palace.
Out of the 14 people 3 had to be revived including a little girl about 7-8 years old.
Some say it is no accident that the driver gave gas, but right now we do not know for sure, there is an investigation going on. Some people say there was shoots fired no one knows if it is true, if it come from the driver or from the police to stop the driver, it is said he went through 2 road blocks but nothing is confirmed.
I hope that everyone will pull through.
The person in the car is now freed and is on the way to the hospital. Right now the country is screaming out for answers!

You all know some time ago I blogged about the new Heineken commercial well here is the newest one.
I seen it on T.V last night and it made me laugh so hard, I think the reason is because they are having a go at the polish workers that are coming to Holland and not getting things “right” had the same experience myself with Polish workers that can not speak Dutch or English so please enjoy and have a good laugh.
